What We Do

Civil Air Patrol is America’s premier public service organization, performing emergency services, disaster relief, aerospace education, and youth leadership development missions nationwide as the civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force.

Serving Communities Nationwide

Civil Air Patrol provides emergency services and disaster relief missions across the nation while supporting communities through aerospace education, leadership development, and volunteer service.

When performing Air Force-assigned missions, CAP operates as the civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force. CAP volunteers search for the lost, support disaster response operations, protect communities, promote aerospace and aviation education, and help shape future leaders through the cadet program.
